Overview
This course is for Kids looking to start their musical journey or had an introduction to Music.
Eligibility / Prerequisites
  • The student should be min 5 - 8 Years.
  • The student should have access to the 61 keys, Touch Responsive Keyboard.
Syllabus
  • Introduction to the Keyboard.
  • Introduction to basic staff reading, Treble Clef, and Bass Clef.
  • Study of different notes on the staff and related finger exercises.
  • Left and right-hand coordination
  • Developing a sense of rhythm and melody through exercises.
  • Simple singing of 5 notes, with several patterns.

Overview
The primary focus of this course will be on developing musical skills and knowledge at the same time more focus will be given to theoretical concepts and practical application in songs. Introduction to listening skills.

  • The student should have completed the Keyboard level - 1 course in Trishan School of Music or Equivalent.
  • An assessment test will be conducted to enroll in this level.
  • The student should have a 61 key keyboard with a touch response and banking facility.
Syllabus
  • Continuation of the Keyboard level 1 course.
  • Scales and Chord Theory.
  • Introduction to 7th chords.
  • Chord inversions and Arpeggios.
  • More challenging finger exercises.
  • Focus on sight-reading.
  • Ear Training, identification on Major or Minor by ear, and simple melody transcriptions.
  • Music Theory.
  • Playing in a Band.
  • Singing melodies in treble clef.

In this course, we focus on developing musical nuances, taste and a higher understanding of music. We also focus on harmony and compositional skills. The student will develop a more professional way of performance and stage management.
